Daniel & the Lions

Daniel was a child brought to the city of Babylon. Growing up he became an Advisor to the king of Babylon, a war took place where the Persian army defeated the Babylonian army and a new king was crowned. The new king, king Darius appointed Daniel as a new Chief advisor. The other advisors grew jealous and decided to implicate Daniel, the king of Babylon then was persuaded by the other advisors to pass a law restricting people from worshipping any God for 30 days and failure to abide by this rule would result to the person thrown into the lion’s den. Regardless Daniel still worshipped GOD, Daniel was then reported to the king by other Advisors for breaking the law.
There was nothing the king could do about the matter, so Daniel was cast into the Lion’s den and left there but at night the King couldn’t sleep, he had to rush down to the den early morning. The king called out unto Daniel and he responded, Daniel was alive. So from that day the king Darius declared that only Daniel’s God be worshipped throughout the kingdom.
The book is very explanatory and has good picture representations of the story told.
